Default big 3 question

I just did the big 3 on my truck and was wondering if i could benifit any from running a ground from my alternator to my battery? the alt has just 1 post on it for pos. id assume youd ground it from a mounting bolt.. but which one?

Just kinda wondering..also if this is benificial...how? what does it to add to the mix

Any mounting bolt that is accessable, and I would say it's not needed because you have the factory 4AWG batt to motor.

Yeah so it should be good. The factory location is on the intake correct? I don't know if they changed it in 3 years or not, but still being TBI it should be the same.

ya it was on the intake.

also sanded down the body ground pretty good..

I didn't do a body ground, I just left the factory batt to motor, put in a batt to frame, bat to alt power, and alt to frame.

i thought about getting ip_phreak to weld me a threaded rod to my frame.. but havent had time to care..i dont think theres a factory bolt anywhere...idk maybe a mounting bolt only done a quick look..nutin seriously in detail

I would put as many grounds as I could afford on my car, Especially the alternator to battery. Current travels faster through copper than steel. I even ran 4 runs of 1/0 Ground with my 4 Runs of 1/0 Power wire and gained around .3V in my setup. To me thats a ton of power. Could mean the difference between gaining a couple tenths of a db.

i ended up with enough wire to do my big 3 X 2 lol. i may do 2 runs of power to the alt, and 1 run of ground from alt to bat
