Default Is 6.4 cubes @ 40hz a good 18" box??

The only way I can get a design to work in this car, biggest I can go is 6.4 cubes BEFORE displacement, would be 100" exactly of port. Slot port

Would that sound good on an HDC3 18 on 2k ish??

Just off the top of my head that will leave you a little over 5 cubes net which is a little on the small side but will work still very good. Make your port 80 sq" in opening area and about 22" in length. This should tune you around 38hz

i am tuned to 38 with the 12" hdc3's and they get pretty dang low tuned that high you will just have to break them in to hit lower cause when mine were not broke in they did not hit the lower notes as good and i think mine are not fully broke in still.

My box design internal volume is 6.47 cubes

after port/sub/little bracing displacement I get 4.8 cubes

This is with 100" of port.....

Should I build it??

Too much port opening area. Reduce your port area to 80 sq" and you will gain a little net box volume which will help.

Dont you recommend 16" of port per cube?? 16 X 6.4 = 100 almost on the dot

but that is before displacement. once you are down to 5 or so cubes after you account for the port volume, your port area needs to shrink

16 * 5 = 80
