I'm just gonna answer with Yes to this one. The A Team (Clay) uses XL's for bassrace 159.9 class and plays some stupid low music with his wall. They modified one for SPL use, and did almost the same numbers as the DD Z 18 in RipRock's Extreme vehicle. So, I'd say the XL is an overall damn good sub, but that's judging by their results, and never having used one myself.

So what sub is this? Is it one of his OEM motors with DC softparts?

I have owned a few different DC's and they are very well built subs. What I use them for is a lil different though. I will be running my 4500'd at .25 each on 17.9v for farts lol.
