Default Amp for HDC312

Hey guys.

I just bought a AQ HDC312 woofer a few weeks back. Its time for me to get a better amp. I am looking at AQ for this as well.

I am not sure what will be best, The AQ 1200D, or the 2200D?

AudioQue said the 1200D will be fine, but to throw a post on the forums just to see what all you have to say.

Which amp would be better for my setup? I dont compete, this is just for a daily driver but I love bass.

Thanks for any help

2200 will be louder if done correctly. meaning proper electrical.

but either amps will do for the 1 woofer. if you get the 2200 you have the option of adding another sub without having to upgrade amps again.

So the owner of the company didn't try and get you to buy the biggest amp he sells yet you need a second opinion?

I'd get the 2200D just because you'll go to a show and realize that 1 12 won't be loud enough.

From experience I'd say go with the 2200 if it's in your budget. you'll be happy you did.

hmm..good points..

I dont plan on upgrading but then again, 5 months ago I didnt plan on getting a new sub either, lol...

I am just scared I will ruin my subwoofer giving it so much power..hmm

I think for the xtra 140 bucks I might as well get the 2200D..leaves more room for upgrade options down the road...

Not 100 percent on this decision, but the comments have definitly helped.

Thanks

I would def go with the 2200 in your situation. I seem to lose satisfaction with my setups quick. If your like me, you'd be getting another hdc3 down the road without regretting getting the 1200d.
