Default RD 18" heavyweight questions

I just bought a 18" RD heavyweight and it comes in the dual 1/2 ohm voice coil configuration. I'm currently running a 15 alpha dual 2. I wanted to know if anyone out there has some diagrams showing how to wire the dual .5 so that i can see all the different configurations and see what ohms I want to run the sub at, it will most likely be 1 ohm but want to have some reference as how to do it correctly. Hate to sound like a noob just havent dealt with .5 dvc's. Thanks

You can either do 1 ohm or .25 ohm.

For 1 ohm just wire it in series/parallel, for .25 ohm wire it in just parallel.

perfect that's what I was thinking series doubles and parallel cuts it half, i guess. I dont think my amp would do .25 so 1 ohm it is.

Jump the negative of coil #1 to the positive of coil #2. Then hook the remaining positive and negative up to the amplifier, since people want to reference you to go to other places. Make sense? I can draw a diagram or look for one online.

Hell, here :

That is a Dual 1ohm woofer. Do you see how they wired it to 2ohm? Wire yours the same way, it will result in a 1ohm final impedance.
