Default Problem with system plz help

Well I did a install 98 jeep cherokee. Pioneer 6500, audiopipe ap10001d 3 sundown e8's. Well first off one of them got the tinsel burned up, im only sending 200 watts to each(gains set with dmm). When the volume is turned up higher the subs keep cutting in and out rapidly but when u cut it back down a few notches it stops, I tried my saz1500d on it also and it does the same thing. So it's gotta be the cd player right,or maybe the rca's they are stinger ones but very old.? It's wired at 1.34 ohms both amps are 1 ohm stable and beyond. I also tried with a set of subs 3 cheap off brand svc 4 ohm 10's . And they still we're cutting out and popping.

Check all your tinsel leads. another may be broken on the inside of the lead itself causing it to make and break connection during heavy movement. This would cause spikes in resistance and would shut the amp down.

just a thought.

A DMM is not a failsafe way to avoid amp clipping its a good and easy alternitive to not having an O-Scope.

Also not sure how the hell you guy's burn up the leads on these E8's I have had my 4 running 350+ rms each since late 08 never once had an issue like that.

Take the subs out and hook a DMM to check ohm rating then free air them with 20hz-10hz to get the cone moving on low volume to see if they cut out from bad leads.

if they read fine and dont cut out on free air then start checking other things.

The leads r fine. Like I said I checked 2 different setups 2 different amps. It's not the amps or subs. I know this. SO u guys think cd player or rcas? I had the amp turned at half gains and I know it's not clipping. So maybe the cd player is faulty or maybe te rca's are faulty. Im gonna put in some rockford hx2's next. He just tore up one e8 the other 2 r fine. And im sendin the other to get reconed.

Since you've already tried different subs and amp the next thing I would try would be new rca's

Yea. I hope it's not the cd player. Gonna swap some new stinger rca's tomorrow.
