Default Recones from FI

Pretty sure im gona get some recones from FI for some DD 9515's and just wondering if anyone has used their cones? Im just wondering how its going to stack up compared to a DD recone. DD wont send recones now again and dont wana send the subs in due to shipping costs. Will the FI cones be able to take the power and abuse that a 9515 usually would? We had two BB2400.1 amps strapped @ 4 ohm daily to a single 9515 and took it fine, but when we wired it down to 1 ohm on the two amps it could not handle it for more than a few minutes full tilt and burnt it out. I want to make sure a pair of them are going to be able to handle the two amps doing full power daily. Im guessing they are gona be good since ive heard FI's are pretty good subs but just want to make sure.

Check out the fixmyspeaker section in the vendor area.

I've never use Fi for recones but I'm sure David has some that will work for you.

If you are spending the money, why not just use dave. He has the same 4layer coils out of the DD9500s

Good to hear. Hoping they can atleast handle getting the shit beat out of them daily by two BB2400.1s strapped to two 9515's.

The Fi's are worth a shot. I know I'm going to send one of my motors (not DD, I'd rather have DD recone a DD sub, but that's me) to Fi to rebuild into an 18.

Could even hit up ssackett on the forum. He's a great guy, great pricing, and he'll stand behind his work. Not a lot of people will stand behind their work these days...

Personally I'd try to get DD's recones. They work the best with their subs since they are DESIGNED for their subs.

But with that said, I've never used Fi for reconing DD's, so I can't necessarily say that they won't work well.

What is DD up to now? A few friends of mine just got recones recently without issues. You try telling them you'll send in pictures?
