Default 1988 Suburban setup?

Hey all,
Thinking of picking up a diesel Suburban this weekend. Need something to tow the Mustang back and forth to paint and the shop. What kind of room does it have behind the second row? Anyone have the 6.2 diesel and upgraded the alt? Any other input is welcome too.

My wife had a 90 and there was plenty of room in the back with all the seats in.

One I'm looking at only has 2 rows. 3rd row was removed. 4 18"s easy? 6 18"s?

4 18s would be pushing it unless you do a wall.

2 21s fit easily.

6 18s would fit in a sealed wall. [SQ side-note for JB]

6.2 diesel is a shiit motor, lots of problems and require frequent overhauls.

every Chevy diesel has problems. but the 6.2 was reliable. I think you are thinking of the 6.5. {6.5 is a turd}
I am a Ford guy. I've owned two chevy diesels. one 6.2 and on 6.5. [never again]

I'm doing a full WVO system, which is $1 a gallon right down the street. Just traded for a RD 7500.1 and I have 10 batteries ready to go. Truck is fitted with heavy duty rear shocks too.
