Default How to check voice coils with dmm?

i want to sell my SE but i want to make sure that both voice coils read where they should, first what should they normally read at (d4)? and what setting do i set my dmm on, this is one of the many things i want to learn how to do.

normally there is a resistance dial with the ohm symbol and thats the dial it needs to be on.

so i was right? right now it is fluttering between 3.0 and 3.4 is that good?

did you test both coils separate? Are they both reading right about the same? It sounds about right, guessing they are 4ohm?

I usually touch the DMM leads together to check the resistance of the DMM leads itself then check the voice coils. Then I subtract the DMM resistance from the VC resistance.

yes its a d4, and they both read at 3.3 most of the time, they fluttered a bit.

yes they will flutter, and 3.3 on a d4 is about right. They are good.
