Default Y-splitters vs. 4ch RCAs??

Alright so it's probably not a difficult question but I'm faced with either buying splitters or 4ch RCAs.

In the near future I will be upgrading my front stage to a component set in each door and probably a sundown 100.4 to run active. I currently have a 2ch amp for my front stage so I only purchased 2ch RCAs. I bought my current RCAs on a close out sale so I'm not sure if I will be able to find another set.

So my question is which will be the better option? Buy splitters and use my current 2ch RCAs or spend the extra money and get 4ch RCAs.

To run active, you need 4 channels of RCA's to run active, so I'd go that route.

4channels will give you the opportunity to use your fader to balance between your midbass and your mid/highs from your deck. {it's quite useful especially for listening to them independently for trouble shooting}

Well 4 channels would be better but brett is using y splitters from bestbuy as am I and they work just fine. Although we both have separate amps for mids and tweets though. so we still have fader and balance

I ran 3 sets of 2 channel RCA's for mine. I couldnt find a set of 4 channel RCAs that matched my 2 channel set so I picked up 3 sets.
