Default Dont understand it!!

Ok Im used to measuring my coils and and all and know how to wire a system, not tarded. BUT I have a 15' lvl4xl that I got and I thought it was D1 coils but they read 1.4 each. What I dont understand is why when I parallel them I get only 1ohm. Is this right? Feel like a total noob. On a side note, yesterday I purchased 2 t1500-1bds for $500, will I be able to run this on 1 per speaker if they are d1.4?Or should I recone to D2 and get my second as a D2? Suggestions would be great. Lots of questions,1 thread, lol

dcr is different than coil impendence, idcr is usually lower than impendence though your coils read like a dual 2 would

touch the leads on your dmm together and see what it reads. it may be .4 off. mine reads .3 when you touch them together, i just factor this into the reading.

rating at 1 ohm and reading actual impedance could be a couple tenths off.

Also, wire has an impedance and so does your meter leads, so the would be adding to the total impedance you are reading.

I figured the wire might throw it off but didnt think about the meter being off. It's a cheapie anyways, gotta love harbor freight. Will the subs sound good with only 1100 or should I just scrap the idea and get different amps? Couldn't pass up the price though.

It would still sound fine and get decent power, the difference is very small in real terms.
