Default Need ideas on how to hold down batteries.

I am going to Have 2 d3100 batts in cargo area of explorer. I can only fit them long ways back to back like this
__
|:| ^ facing front of vehicle
|_| 2 batts butt to butt
|: |
|_| v rear of vehicle

crappy pic but you get it... I need a good yet simple solution to hold them down.

same concept like this rack but i use L shaped steel then use staps is fine but u can use long bolts from the bottom of the of the L frame and use steel or alluminum stips bout an inch wide across the batts with holes to put the bolt in the hole and top it off with a nut(wing nuts work great)

kinda like this almost exactly like this
