General Car Audio Discussion & QuestionsAll general car audio discussion goes here. Need help installing speakers, headunits, amps or electrical? Having problems with equipment? Have questions about a product, post here.
Does adding the activator to the spectrum make it any strong or better then just spraying it on with the sprayer? I understand you can apply it thick but is there any more benefit to it? I already have the activator but im debating if it is going to be easy to spray it or apply it as a paste.
You can not spray Spectrum Sludge. The activator is only there to change the viscosity, so what that means is the more activator you add the thicker it will get. If your looking for a spray form you would need (Spectrum).
I think they are the same. The only difference is that the "sludge" version allows you to apply a thick single coat to achieve ideal results. Spraying Spectrum would require several thin coats to build to the same thickness. Both I believe will achieve equal results but from what I have seen on pictures online, spraying Spectrum looks nicer and doing Sludge is a quicker one step alternative.

Once cured there is absolutely no difference between the two products.
In fact, Spectrum already has activator in it to begin with.
Without it, the Spectrum would have the viscosity closer to water...
