Default question on AQ1200D power

I am currently running 16 10's being powered by 4 Kicker XS100's (1200 each at 1ohm) 1 of the amps is cutting in and out and I have a feeling it is gonna cost a pretty penny to fix (12 year old A/B amps) so I am thinking of running maybe 4 AQ1200D's, my question is if I decide to do this will my 3 Kinetik HC2400's at the amps and 1 HC1400 under the hood be enough to supply the amps (the alt is an Ohio Generator 186 amp at 2000 rpm) just trying to figure out the overall price of changing. Thanx in advance

Yes and why not just get (2) AQ 2200's? Would be much cheaper.

if they are supporting the kickers the aq 1200s should be fine.

My subs are dual 2ohm which I have connected in series to 4ohm each then I have each amp running 4 subs at 1ohm each so to run 2 AQ2200D's I would have to run the amps at either 2ohm and get no power or run them at .5ohm which I really am not a fan of running amps that low. Anyway I would get more power out of the 4 AQ1200D's (about 5500 watts) as opposed to 4400 out of the 2 AQ2200D's.
