I'm honestly a little scared of cadence. i know they used to have some amazing amps, but i know there was a recall on some of there amps about an overheating issue. ever since then i avoided them to be safe. I know i would get a MB quart 1500.1 before this

Yeah, back in the day they were supposed to be good, but never really looked into them since. Not too long ago they had amps starting fires and stuff.

Definitely don't want any fires, lol. Other than this I have been thinking about that MB Quart mentioned above, the hifonics 1608 ( I know they are a little over rated but the Hifonics I owned before is still kickin after years of abuse) or the ap 1500. I know maxxsonics makes both the mb and the hifonics so they should be fairly reliable but the ap I don't know about.

if you take maxxsonics ratings with a grain of salt, they arent too bad of amps. i used to tun autotek and as long as you accounted for the ratings being off, they were actually very durable.

Kind of off the topic, but do you know about the new Hifonics Brutus BRZ models, how are they... they are CEA certified, but probably doesn't mean too much. Are they pretty accurate. I know I had a BX1500D and it was over rated but worked out fine because I knew, then I had a BXi2006D which was a bit overrated, too bad I managed to blow it due to one of my subs breaking.... but I am now planning on buying 2 BRZ2400.1D to power 2 2400RMS each sub, or should I go more or less power?

On the other hand, I have liked every single Hifonics product, subs and amps I have ever bought, they are durable, never heat up, are good quality, but with the older models definitely plan for them to be overrated, I don't know how much overrated they are but I always just went with my own guess of 10% so 1000W RMS would be 900 1500W RMS would be 1350...
