if the meter's on the windshield, holding the glass where the meter is can help and usually holding the passenger side door helps.
Messing with seat positioning (all the way forwards and tilted all the way back and vise versa)..
Air vents being closed/open...
Sunvisors being down/up...
Instead of just grounding to the chassis add a run of wire back to the front battery's negative terminal...
All those can gain you little bits just by a little adjusting before metering and there are plenty more
