Default NEED HELP!! I think my amp is blown!!

So I went to sell my old subs today and I took them out to give them to the new owner. I was driving home and I left the speaker wires for the subs just laying there not thinking and I'm guessing they crossed and I heard this popping noise and smelled this smoke. It's an Alpine MRV-T757 2 channel and just tested some other subs and i'm not getting any signal to them. The amp powers on alright but the power light is flashing red. So anybody know what this means and if it's fixable? Sorry for the long post.

Yea amps dont like that! If the wires did in fact touch your amp is toast. The amp is in protect so its not looking good for you.

yeah, and if this helps diagnose it the damn amp lights stay on even with the key is not like the remote isn't working or something. IFuse is not blown so I pulled it to not drain the battery. I'm not too sure what I'm doing on internals but maybe I'll open it up and see what's fried and post pics

that protect mode sounds familiar, is there anyway I can reset the amp to get out of that mode or should I just forgot about an easy fix.

You can unhook everything then ground the power input and that should reset it. But im pretty sure its not going to come out of protect.

alright, I'll try that first. I'd love to be able to save this amp since it matches my four channel.

I think DB-r doesn't fix amps for us anymore. If I remember right he only works for big companies now.
