Default Can this be fixed?

So I got my pair of 12" RL-p's off a member from CA. I bought them knowing one had an issue, and needed reconed. His words were "my mother dropped something on it, the VC's are now rubbing, and will need reconed." no problem, I can do a recone on it without any problems. So I cut out the spider pack and surround, and yet, the SOB is still stuck tight. After finally digging it out, I see the reason. The top plate had shifted all the way over and was pressed against the pole peice. So, any way to fix this? Or am I just screwed?

I'm going to look into fi in the morning and see if it's worth it. Yea, I'm not the happiest. But I bought it "as is" pretty much.
