450 wont get you that far..cost benefits vs. sound increase i think you'd be better off with 2 l7 15's than 1 solo x 18". Cone area benefit is one thing. Dont expect that hifonics to really put out 2000 wrms either. But for your application, it should do fine. Even so, electrical upgrades are good in the long run. I would suggest just buying a kinitek hc600 or hc800, which helps out stock systems greatly! Run 0 gauge to begin with, which is the thickest wire, so if you do decide on upgrading, you dont have to re-wire. Let me know if you have any more questions.

l7s are a good choice, but I dont know if you have the room to fit 2 15"s in a ported box in your trunk. with the amp you have, you probably ought to do the big three and add a nice batt in the back though.

the sub(s) you get will not make a difference on what electrical upgrades you need(assuming that you are going to run the amp at the same impendance with whatever sub you get) it is soley based upon the amplifier and the impendance you intend to run it at.

solo x; this would be the logical choice because later on when decide to upgrade (we all do) all you have to do is buy a different amp
truth. the solo x will take a lot more power if you ever plan on upgrading (and you will eventually). I would also think that the 18" would be better choice than 2 choked 15"s. I would go this route, but I doubt youll find an 18" solo for $450
