Default Ab 400.1 or Memphis 4k

which one of these amps would do better for daily driving at 1 ohm, i have heard great things about both amps, just wondering which would out perform on a average electrical system with volts around 13.8-14.2 and drops around low 13s or high 12s

Thats a hard choice.. I would choose the 400.1 just cause i have ran a few of them with no issues.. Never used a Memphis 4k

more people have said ab 400.1s, then i heard like 2 or 3 times the memphis 4ks blow easily, so idk havn't heard such things about a ab 400.1, i talked to steve cook he said memphis but i think he is bias to them since he had about 30 of them lol, but he said the memphis was more cleaner to him

the AB is a solid amp
i know plenty of people who run or have run the memphis without any issues as well though.

its like anything car audio. you beat on it and at some point something will happen to it.

AB 400.1 heads down, I know a few people running them on stock electrical and no issues they will also survive down to 9.5v, i dont think you will see any memphis 4k ever do that, they are great amps but draw a ton of power to do so.

i know my cadence 9000d had the same board as the AB 500.1
i know that doesnt mean exactly the same obviously but it was a rock solid amp

i think as far as looks the memphis looks a lot better and its size you have a lot of options how to mount it.
all in all both great amps but AB is a far better daily amp than the memphis
