Default somethings not right with my substage

alright so i cant figure out what the deal is. my sub bottoms out anytime i play anything low and just sounds like complete shit. is it my box? my tuning? or is something wrong with the driver itself? the sub is a dd2515 d2 and the amp is a audiopipe ap10001d. the box is [email protected] with 55 sqin of port. everyone said the box would work fine but if i had 64 sqin of port it would sound better, but would it causeit to bottom out like this? the coils on the sub are both reading ~2.6 which is normal for a dr correct? i'm thinking maybe its my tuning? but im almost positive my gain is almost right on. i have noticed though that the surround on the sub is rubbing on the gasket in a spot, so i took it off and the surround is glued to the basket off center, is this bad? any help is appreciated, thanks in advance.

Wait, so you're saying that the sub(when you look at it) isnt centered in the cone or anything?

That's not a good thing...at all

On a lighter note, I dont see any reason the box should be detrimental to the woofer. Also, when yo usay "down low" ... describe? Are you talking 25-30hz, or are you talking around your tuning of sya 35hz?

Well, i bought the sub from memphis and he said it had a fresh recone from DD and hasnt been powered, and i trust him. I dont think DD would **** up like that though, but from what i can tell where the surround is glued to the basket, on one side it hangs over the holes where the screws go through to mount it, and the other side its about a mm away from the holes. I can get pictures if that helps at all. also when i play my music in my "safe zone" certain songs that get low such as "put on" start to bottom out, really bad. i dont know what the deal is.

My 9515G sounded like it was bottoming it.

However, it was the spiders. Mine just needed some breaking in. Sounds great now. Pounds like Lexington Steele.
