Looks to me like it's on the verge of blowing. There is some guideline to follow when fusing your wire. I thought it was like 20 amps above the combined fuses on your amp.

nah, 250 is pretty big already, probably got like that when you hooked up your amp or something. You know how the amp or battery sparks when you hook up the wires? It most likely came from that I would guess

Has that fuse been there for a long time? I've had fuses that looked like that after a year plus of use, nothing wrong with them, just getting old.

Haha god I love stupidity!! Hum I don't know why my fuse looks this way. I am smart enough to see their is a problem. I know lets put a bigger fuse in. Will keep me from blowing the fuse. Wait whats that melting smell coming from my amp? The big a$$ fuse I stuck in their still looks good? Oh look the magic smoke genie has come for a visit!!

Ok enough of me being a a$$. Looks like you have been taxing that fuse fairly hard. I would look at the gauge of wire you are running and the current draw of your amp. Looks like their is a mismatch their. Too small of wire<feeding to large of amp would be my first guess.

the idea is to match your fuse to the rating of your wire.. im sure you know but fuses are meant to protect your wire not your amp
