Default ground and inline fuse holder ?

Would it be better for less distortion from bad grounds and such to ground it off of the battery cable instead of a screw or something in the truck? Im rewiring all my stuff and cleaning it up a lot since i dont have my back seat anymore and am wondering about this.

I also have a question about the inline fuse holder for the power wire. Is it suppose to be a certain distance from the battery? If not can i just run the fuse holder to inside the truck on the panel with the distribution blocks, amp, cap, etc?

Default You want to keep the fuse 14 inches from batt

The ground originally comes from a bolt ground it there then to the first batt then you can go batt to batt
