Default Problem with my Stetsom amp...sort of...

So I was doing some testing the other day on the TL, running my Stetsom 4k2d, and after about an hour beating on everything, I started to get this weird, distortion coming from the subs. Here is what happens:

At low volumes (4-5 clicks on the HU), my subs start moving in-and-out of phase and sounding like they're blown; similar to what engines noise sounds like if you have a ground issue... The subs aren't blown though, I checked them.

This ONLY happens at low volumes, and once you turn it up, everything plays normal.

I've talked to a few people about this and pretty much concluded that it's something having to do with the RCAs from some end. Most likely on the amp.

One guy I talked to has this problem with his SD 8k, and it does the exact same thing.

I'm going to pull everything out this weekend and see, but just wanted to get some feedback from you all and any who have had this problem before.

I honestly don't think it's a ground issue, but I'll check everything out.

Sounds like an RCA issue. I had that same problem a long time ago. Check to see if your RCA's are pinched somewhere.

Its probably happening at high volume as well. Just the issue is overpowered by the incoming signal. Have you tried another amp yet and see if it does the same thing?

Or this^^^^^^ take a piece of speaker wire strip the two ends. Wrap it around one of the RCA terminal on he back of the radio then touch the other side to the radio chassis see if hat helps. If not I'd bet its a bad ground somewhere

LOL! Thank God it was as simple as it was. The problem was indeed the RCAs. I had one that fell out of the input on the amp. It was barely hanging on...

Thanks for all the suggestions, fellas! I always feel it best to ask for any ideas before I start looking around to minimize the search.
