Default Few dustcap questions here

Oh yeah...
Alright, second time around breaking my **** dustcap for my PSi reconed Cascade Omega.

1) Would a carbon fiber cap be stronger then a polyproplyne?

2) Where can I buy an 8" cap of any form, the 6" one has glue that doesn't come off so hot so I'd rather just get a cap to cover it.

3) Is there any type of epoxy I can use instead of the PSi rubber stuff? Cuz that's what causes the failure of the cap.

I don't think it's psi's fault. I'd imagine it's the solid pole that your omega has.

Im kind of confused about the whole dustcap issues with the omegas...mine were pounded on with pretty much as much power as anyone else has put to them with no issues in the slightest... Possible enclosure design flaw...?

It seems subs that have solid poles have dust cap problems. Team dc motors I've heard do and omegas. Maybe try bigger cap cause then you'd have more glue on it right?

Email david aka team psi. He has even OEM dustcaps from other subs, i BET you will find some 8" cap...Use good ass epoxy on it...Also know that a bigger distcap will literally change the way your sub sounds, change the way it acts a little.

Are you saying that the cap is breaking apart? Or is it just keeps coming unglued?
