Default Box/subs problems

so i have a 3.5 cuft box tuned to 35hz for 2 12s. Power is 2 AQ3500.1s strapped at .5ohm. I have now blown 2 subs in this box. both were from different pairs of subs, but both subs that blew were in the same spot. im thinking this is a weird unloading issue or something but would be nice if anyone had any idea what exactly is going on. im scrapping the box and going 10s now but just dont want the same issue to come up again. any ideas?

heres a pic of box. those are 4" aeros, most of the length is in the box. it is the sub on the right that keeps blowing

2 AQ 3500's at .5 ohms strapped? What's your electrical? Probably clipping the shit out of it and you keep blowing that same one because of how it's wired

I thought your subs were d2 or d1...just wondering how you got strap at .5 cause either impendance configuration.

I dont know much about strapping. Thought each amp would be at 1ohm or .5 so than making it 2ohm or 1ohm.

They aren't "recommended" to be ran at less than 2 ohms strapped.

2 D2 subs= .5 ohm, 2 ohm, 8 ohm

it is a hellatious amount of power, and i know thats the underlying cause, just trying to figure out why that side keeps blowing. both subs are wired the same, and there isnt one that is any closer to the amp wire length wise.

my electrical is fine, dont dip below 13v on burps or bassrace, and i know the amps arent clipping. oscope and clipping indicator ftw

both times its been suspension related failures.

also, when i disconnect the blown sub but not take it out of the box and run the good sub to both amps, its ok. can bassrace and everything. this is the main thing im confused on. if it was too much power then why would the one sub be able to take it but not both subs?
