Default time for a proper enclosure. opinions\input plz.

Its time for the hdc3 15 d2 to find a suitable home. Currently in a very non ideal 4.6 cuft @ 30 hz with 88 sq.in. of port! sounds halfway decent on about 5 notes. no bueno at all. wanted to know what u guys think would be the most optimal size, tuning, configuration. On a 2200d @ 1ohm in the trunk of an 06 camry, daily, mostly rap. Appreciate all input.

3.5 is a nono

15s have higher fs

4.25-4.5cuft w/60-70sqin @ 35hz should do just fine and be plenty musical

with the extra port u have u make the roll-off faster and shrink the bandwidth

oh crap sorry mistype!!!!!!!!!!!! i meant 4.5 at 38hz. Also they love alot of port area so make sure you "build your port and build the box within the port" if that makes sense

love it, first two responses are 1cuft and 4hz apart. thats mostly what i hear r the two opposite ends of the spectrum, big and tuned low or smaller and tuned high. again this is for daily with a 2200d @1 playin mostly rap. thanks for the opinions, all taken into consideration.

i said 4.25-4.5 because its efficient and sounds good and is less peaky
i said 35hz because u are used to 30hz tuning, so i dont want to make a drastic jump to 38hz, and it will allow you to still play lower safely, songs like "Put On" or White Girl
