Default 10" midbass/midrange... one per front door

Well Im getting a little tired of people kicking my door pods and I think I want to convert from 2 6.5's per door to 1 10" midrange/midbass.

I was hoping crescendo's pro audio 10" would be out by now but I dont see that happening anytime soon

Ive got a few CDT 6.5's and a set of selenium st350's glassed into my wall already and they take good care of the high.

I do still want to get alot of midrange out of the new door pod setup though with a 10" if possible. So it doesnt sound like all the sound stage is coming from behind you

I only have room for one 10" per door as nothing can fit between the door and seat without cutting the door skin which I dont want to do.

Any 10"s out there fit the budget for a decent price?? I think a 10" would be a bit different and keeping it flat and not having to angle it would be GREAT

8 ohm though right?? Dont know if I could guive them enough power @ 8ohm's.

I have a kicker 650.4 (4 X 125 @ 14.4V) and a US acoustics 4085 (4 X 85 @ 12.4volt) and the US acoustics amp is capable of going down to 2 ohm

big joker runs a single 10 per door off a 4ch, so they're at 8ohm each and get very loud. Gotta remember that the SPL is 98dB on them....

I think he has a 4x125watt amp that he's running bridged, so at 8ohm probably around 100watts to each would be my guess. Plus an XST per door. It's very loud and keeps up with his wall no problem...

the kicker bridged should work out well.

Mounting them without cutting the door panel might not be that easy though...

Does he have pretty grills on them. They sure do look good, very comparable to the whip audios I was looking at

I think I can mount them fine without cuting them, my currecnt pods stick out probably 5" at the most extreme angled part of the one speaker

Ill have to chekc out his build if I can find it adn see what kinda space he put them in and such

It think a 10 or even a 12" would look pretty unique and crazy if I do it nicely with black leather to match the door panel and a clean grill
