Question 1.34 ohms

I currently have 3 kicker cvx 12s, all dual 4 ohm voice coils.

I also have a hifonics brutus 2100 amp that does 2100 watts @ 1ohm, 1400 @ 2ohm.

As of right now I'm only using 2 cvx so they are bridged to 1 ohm.

If I hook up the 3rd cvx then my load becomes 1.34 ohms, is this safe to run or is it recommended to run?
I'm a little worried about frying my amp.

Also if 1.34 ohms is safe to run, how many watts will my hifonics then push?

you will be fine at 1.34.

and it will be doing less power than it would at 1 ohm

Its hard to say exactly how much power you will be getting at that ohm load but i would imagine it would be right in between your 1 and 2 ohm rating

well i know less power, but how much less power?
1 ohm = 2100
2 ohm = 1400
1.5 ohm load, I ASSUME, would be 1750, so 1.34 SHOULD be like 1825 watts.....am i correct for this thinking?

also is there any thing to worry about with the ohm load not matching the ams output of 1, 2 or 4 ohm?

OH.....also how do i wire the 3rd sub?
the 2 hooked up now are hooked up 'individually' to the mono amp (amp is 1 channel with 2 outputs)......so do i bridge the 3rd speaker using the outputs on the speaker box or use 1+ & 1- from the amp that a speaker load is already connected to?
(each speaker is in its own 'chamber' and CANT be bridged or whatever inside of the box)

thanks for the prompt replies

by your last post im assuming that you already have a box for 2 of them and you want to add a third that is in a completely separate box?

if you parallel the third subs coils {six 4ohm coils parallel} the load is 0.66667 ohm.

if you series each set of coils at the sub and then parallel the three 8ohm loads, the load is 2.66667 ohms

No, I have a box for 3 12s, just that 2 are hooked up at the present moment.

When I checked I must've picked the wrong option.

Guess im better keeping 2 12s @ 1 ohm than running 3 @ 2.6 ohms.

yes, 2 12s at 1ohm will receive more power than three 12s at 2.6667 ohm

more than double the power.
