i have 2 kicker l7's and they are at a duel 2 ohms but i dont have an amp for a .5 ohm rating nor have the electrical is it bad to wire the subs in series? i feel like im not giving the full power from the amp to the subs and is it bad in any way to wire them like that? and when doing this there are two coils. should i run the wires from the first coil or from both like + from coil 1 and - from coil 2? or does it even matter? thanks for all your input
U have 2 choices. .5 or 2 ohm. Unless u have a 2 channel amp that will do power at 1ohm. Instead of telling u what to do. It's more simple to look up on rockford fosgates woofer wiring wizard to show you how u should wire them.
Dont go .5 ohm or else you will fry your amp and im sure u dont want that.
Only thing really to say is get an amp that will push a decent amount out at 2 ohm. Or maybe find some subs?
What amplifier man? Just do with 2 or get another amp, but i would seriously get new subs or amp.. If you have 12" ones with an RMS of 750, i have an underrated 1k xtant amp that supposedly can do 1500 2 and 1 ohm.
