Default GM owners! Help with ground. VIDEO!

Hey guys.

I drive an 05 tahoe. All my equipments are in my sig.

I want to know the best spot to ground my amps. Where do you guys ground them?
Amps are under the 2nd row seats. I know it's a mess but I'm planning to build an amp rack after i hook up everything properly.

I have this hiss from my door speakers that i can't get rid of. even after i changed the ground spot. hiss does vary with different RPM's (you'll see in the vid) hiss is not bad at all. most people probably won't even notice it, BUT I CAN! haha and it's bugging the sh*T out of me.

I'm aware of the pico fuse deal with pioneer decks. I bought the HU couple months ago brand new and been very careful about hot swapping the RCA's. So i don't think it's a pico issue.

Only thing i can think of is maybe adding another gound on my HU. I have all my accessories for my HU, XM module, steering wheel control, and the parking brake bypass all tapped into the same ground wire for the HU.

Hope that makes any sense.

and here is the vid...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tNDxHxqyYT0

i hope i didn't drill into the gas tank for the new ground location. Don't know why, but i'm really paranoid about that. haha. screw is about an inch long.

if you use that for a ground, make sure you sand the paint off before grounding.

I would start with the HU ground and fix that first.

I had to ground the rca outputs on the deck and ground the deck to the chassis in my 02 that fixed the noise on my new deck. And for the rear I have my kinetiks grounded to the chassis under the carpet in the back, and my amps are grounded on the kinetiks

I know my TB has these so Im assuming the Tahoe does but there are points in the back where you can tie stuff down, there triangle looking metal peices that flip up and down. The screw on them is a torx head that goes all the way through the body. I used that for my ground but i went down to complete metal on both sides of the triangle thing and on the floor.

Thanks for the input guys. I'm def going to try and run another solid ground from my HU.

Would doing the big three have a chance of fixing the whine? I know it needs to be done anyways. Just curious.
