Default feedback through subwoofer

A team member got a sub built and installed today, the issue is he is now getting a feedback through the subwoofer. the volume can be on 0 and he still gets a feedback through the sub. he says when he revs the engine it changes pitch, its not a whine but a pitch. the only thing that was changed was his back battery got larger wire and a new ground spot. both John (violence.) and myself ground down the ground spot in the trunk and upgraded his wire to welding cable 2/0. john ran rcas from his hu to the trunk of the car to the amp outside of the car and it still makes a noise in the kids car. he is on his way to my house now to swap amps and were gonna try a ground loop isolator to try to figure out if its a ground or not.

what do you guys think it may be? i got like 45 minutes til he is here. time is of the essence. thanks CACO

no sub leads touching anything or loose connections.

brand new rca ran outside the car to trunk away from all power wires. rca's are knu karma kables.

ground for back batt fresh ground down to bare clean metal

sub wires read fine. read 1 ohm at amp and sub enclosure.

headunit at 0 feedback is strong through sub

remote lead doesnt seem to have a break in it and is ran with power cables.

only thing done today was box was slid into place with sub already installed and amp put back in its place. now he has an issue.

I dont know if the RCA's were ran near the power cable but that will cause a noise but its more of a whine. However this noise will change with the Rpm of the motor. Also try a better ground point actually on the frame. The body could have a wire somewhere grounding out on it or a power wire causing it to not ground properly. Sometimes I have also noticed an amp will cause this. Kicker amps are notorious for causing noise in my own experience. I am pretty new to audio (4 years or so) but I have been a mechanic for a long time.

My brothers would mimick the sound of the door shutting. It is his ground. Tighten it!

grounded the RCAs on deck and issue went away.
