Question DD kevlar cone recone help.

Ok I have a z9515 that needs to be reconed. I have the kit & everything from DD, but my question is how the hell do you take everything off the cone without damaging it? I also have the 8" kevlar dust caps & am going to be reusing them. I just can not figure out how to get the old surround off, the dust cap off, & how to separate the spider from the kevlar cone.
I would appreciate it if someone can help me out or give me advise.

Its gonna be a ***** especially the triple joint. I have used acetone to soften CA glue but I'm not sure what effect if any it would have on the kevlar.
Did you ask DD when you ordered new parts what they suggest?

Yes I will ask Tommy K, I asked a few buddies that have messed with dd stuff before, & they said I needed a whole new cone. DD told me that I can reuse the cone WTF. I will talk to Tommy thought he always has a solution lol...

The hardest part is gonna be getting the old coil out of there. From what I've seen you have to bend the former on the coil to loosen/break the glue joint and pop the coil out, then take a grinder to the rest of the glue until you get down to the cone.

The same goes for the surround. I've never done a kevlar cone before, but I know the general steps it takes.

If you want some help I suppose I could help you out.

They are definitely reusable though.
