Default do you give your comps more than rated power?

ok so im very dissapointed with the infinity kappas i installed and the p450.4, its not what it should be. im thinking about getting rid of the p450.4 and replacing it with a crescendo 1000c4.

do you guys give your comps more than rated power? what kind of comps are they and how much power do you give then? what amp?

Don't focus TOO much on power handling and amplifier output because there are so many factors. IE a woofer might be able to handle 100 watts crossed at 100 Hz but only 50 watts at 60 Hz.

Just get a nice amplifier with decent headroom over the advertised RMS handling over a nice set of comps and you won't be disappointed. Look up running active too.

hmm, I suppose you could say I have some headroom. 650 watts on tap per tweeter, and 80ish watts on tap per horn
