Default would it be worth it to buy this amp?

I have the oppertunity to purchase this Visonik 900HC for $100 plus $45 shipping. Seller says the protect light comes on and swears he didn't do anything to cause it to crap out. I've heard and read that they are power hungry but very efficient amps. I'm currently running an AP3k on my 18's but will be selling the 18's soon and installing my 4-12" power hx2's that i'm currently building. I'm looking for a better amp than the AP3k to power the power hx2's but don't want to buy an amp that is trash and will cost more to fix it than to buy it when i could put that money towards a better amp, or maybe another AP3k to run 2 of em on all 4 of the power hx2's. I would prefer to run an all RF system with maybe a T40001bd pushing the subs but this could poss be a good temp amp. I would appreciate any input that will help me make the decision. Here are the pics that the seller sent to me. I've tried to find the specs but all i've been able to find is 3400 @ 1ohm rms. Thanks

It'll do more like 2k at 1 ohm. Stick with your AP 3k.

Don't do it. Your money is much better spent elsewhere. I'd run the AP 3k over that piece any day. And I hate AP. Lol.

I was going to comment on that too, but I let it slide. Lol.

Suffice it to say that that amp might be worth $150 if it was 100% functional. I still wouldn't buy it if it was working and broken? No way.

Dude, $150-200 can get you a lot of amp on here.

I have tested that amp about a bazillion times. I know what it does clean, clipped, dirty, loaded, unloaded, wired down, low voltage, good voltage, after it hot, while it's cool, on caps, on batts, where it protects, what's thermal limits are and just about anything else anyone would care to know about it.

But thanks for chiming in. Your opinion is duly noted.

Why an RF amp if you don't mind me asking. Nothing wrong with them per se just wondering.
