Default batts and voltage

In my car I had 1 stock battery up front a 110 amp alt with big 3 done, all 0 gauge wire with 2 super start fleet and heavy deep cycle batts in back. Those were running a sundown saz1500 at .5 but on amp said it was only getting 11 volts when batts said not below 13.7, so I have upgraded to a sundown saz2500 amp and changing back super start batts with 2 deka 9a31 batts, still 110 amp alt with big all 0 gauge wire but still front batt is stock. With the new dekas in back should it give the saz2500 what it needs for at 1ohm or do I HAVE to REPLACE front batt even if it's good to a dry cell or sealed agm to get a diff response to amp. What I am really asking is do I have to replace front batt to get voltage up to the amp or will the dekas be enough for now.

Well I have a 2002 mitsubishi diamante and got rid of lincoln. I was thinking to upgrade front batt to one of my deep cycles. Also I have front batts pos to back batts pos and every amp and battery has its own ground. The pos goes from back 2 the 2nd back batt then to the amp. Batts are connected with 4 gauge, but front to rear batt is 0 gauge, and from last batt to amp is 0 gauge.

sounds wired up fine. All batts pos connect. All batts have short grounds. I would do all 0 Ga but I dont think that one piece of 4 is killing you. I would really look at your grounds. Makes sure its a good connection and bare metal. The front Batt shouldnt be hurting it really. However if you need a reason to change your front Batt I have heard its bad to run Diff types of batts in the same setup. Has anyone else heard this also?

you should never run the amp ground to battery ground because of noise.

ive always ran the ground from the amp back to the battery never had a problem with noise. grounding to bare metal on the body isnt all that great imho especially for larger amps. ive done it and had a really bad drop but none when running a line back to the battery.
