Yes you can, but you'd be in Super Street classes. From there, it depends on number of woofers and box setup.

Amplifiers may be mounted on the back of the rear-most seats provided no other applicable rules are violated.
right out of the rules

He's talking about gutting the rear seat and putting the amp inside it, not mounting it to the back of the seat. There's a big difference. This question came up on Termpro awhile back, and whoever asked was given the same answer...

That's the rule for mounting amps under and behind the seat (on enclosures), but you cannot modify the seat itself in order for the judge to not feel the amp in Street class.

If you are talking about a sub amp installed in the back of your front seat, which it sounds like you are, then it would be illegal no matter what. Nothing can be mounted in front of the "b" pillar if I'm not mistaken(sub amps, subs). Technically, this would be in front of the "b" pillar.

If I remember correctly, the guy has a European spec CRX, which has back seats. And his idea is to carve the foam out of the back seat and put the sub amp inside it. The way the EU judges check Panda's is they sit in the back seat, and if they can feel the amps in their back or ass, then the amp is illegal. But the back seats are still complete and intact, which once the foam is carved out, is no longer the case for OP.
