Default 2 AQ 2200 Question

okay so i want to here what ppl have to say on this. What would you do? would you strap two AQ2200 or would wire each to each sub and mach the gain and lower the ohms?

strap them, also the ohm loads would be the same, if you had a dual 1 sub, and wired at 1 ohm on each amp, that would give you 4400 watts, but if you wire to 2 ohms and strap the amps, each amps sees 1 ohm, so you get the same amount of power

strapping them is easier(one bass knob and one amp to tune) and I don't really see any advantages of wiring up individually

True on the bass knob but if I didn't link them I could wire them down to .5 ohms.

you mean both amps running at .5 ohm individually?? You cant wire them strapped to 1 ohm though?

yes running individually at .5 ohms. so then they wont be linked.

So, you have Dual 1 ohm subs, right? If you can go .5 to each amp, then you can strap at 1 ohm, so each amp see's .5 ohms individually. From an ease of doing things standpoint, you can't beat strapping. If you're looking for every last .1db, then there is some thinking out there that you will gain .1-.2 by not strapping. It works for some people, doesn't gain others anything. You'd have to test it...
