Exclamation American Bass XFL 12" vs Obsidian Audio 12"

Hey guys im doing my first build and I honestly dont know which subwoofer to choose. I know that they will sound different in certain applications but which would yall prefer. Im looking more into the XFL's after seeing videos with people of them and plus it has a 3in voice coil. But the Obsidian 12s are newer drivers and they cost less!

By the way this would be going into a 2001 Honda Accord EX, im just trying to get the most bang out my buck. And I plan to power them with an Audiopipe 1800 or Soundstream DTR 2200 in a 4.4 cube box with 1 6 inch aeroport. Let me know what y'all think!

Personally I'd go with the XFL's.. Than again I can get the XFL's just as cheap as the Obsidian's.. never heard the new Obsidian subs tho. They are both very well built subs so its probably more of a personal preference, goals, application and etc. Just my .02 cents. This guy will take care of ya tho ^^

Either driver will handle the power no problem as a pair on those amps. The OA has the price advantage in your case.

T/S specifications are fairly similar... so save the money, IMO.

if you do plan on upgrading i think the xfl's would have an advantage, i havnt got into any severe testing with my obsidians, but the 3" coil should give it some power handleing advantage

but as jacob said the obsidians are cheaper and will take the power no problem.

OA FTW!
