Default 1500 watts. one 12 or two 12's?

Currently I have 2 SA-12's on 1500 watts. If I take one of the subs out and put the full 1500 watts to the other, will there be a big difference in loudness?? I know more cone area the better but I'd be running double the power to the single sub

if you have the funds i would say to go with a single sa nightshade and throw all the power at it. a friend of mine hits 147db in his s-10 throwing 800 watts to his single sa 8" his box is not pretty but it works.

All of my funds are going towards making the car sit flat on the ground.

I'm looking to make some room in my trunk because a 4ft^ box and 2 group 31 batteries leaves enough room for a backback and a football and KILLS my gas mileage. I'd be really happy if I could get rid of one of the 3 batteries and shrink the box down less then half the size while staying close to the same output

get rid of the 3 batts and upgrade your front batt to a XS and just put one other XS batt in the trunk and a HO Alt. save a lot of weight!! and upgrade more power and strink the box down or make subs into 10s and the box can be 2cf and use aeros and birch wood to help with weight and size! easy fix.

all of which requires spending a good amount of money. my front battery is a group 31 and I have 2 more in the trunk along with a 140amp alt. as of right now my voltage NEVER drops below 13.6. I'm going to pull 1 battery out tomorrow and how the voltage does.

If I rebuild the box for one 12 I will probably go with birch.

I think I'm going to take out 1 battery and 1 sub for a little while. will a 4th order make up for the loss of 1 sub?
