Default 02 Acura tl trunk

Anyone have experience with this car? I've run many different setups buts always sub and port back. Back seat does not fold down, only the arm rest does opening up maybe a 5"x 11" opening. Also a hole in the rear deck where the stock sub used to be. I'm gonna build a box for a single 15 and was thinking of trying sub up port to the side. Any recommendations?

I will suggest sub forward centered on the opening . Port up to your speaker opening.

Alot of people have been doing 4th orders and porting it through their armrest. Because their backseat doesn't fold down.

Are you going for numbers or just a shake the F-ING BLOCK box for the lows.

I really don't compete so it's just a daily driver. I've considered a 4th order but I'd never be able to fit one for a 15 and I doubt a sig would like a bandpass. As far as sub forward and port through the rear deck I'd imagine cancelation would be pretty bad and I don't think it would work otherwise because the the sub motor would end up being in the way port. I'm starting to hate this car...

Or you could try Sub back and Port up through the rear deck.

Have you had luck with a woofer centered in the opening? How far back from the opening?
Have you made any sort of "tunnel" around the woofer to the opening? I was contemplating making a deal like that, and sort of sealing it to the rear seat where the opening is.

I tried a single 10" firing forward about 2 inches from the opening and a 6" aero port facing up through the rear deck but it was a tight fit. The motor of the sub was damn near touching the port. I'm using a 12" shocker sig right now but plan on rebuilding it to a 15" soon so that's the box I'll be building. I'll just have to try a few different boxes out and hope for the best.
