Design request for 3rdshift
Subwoofer/speaker brand: 1 Alpine Type R 12 D2
Expected power handling: Will see 900rms. A little more than rec. but i could drop to 300 to ea coil if need be
Max dimensions (MUST fit in vehicle or through trunk opening!): 36(w) x 17(h) x 19.5 (d)
Listening expectations (description):
What bandwidth is acceptable? 35-60hz high output, 30-80hz? Ignore if you do not understand
Low End, If peaky(around 32hz) but 25hz-40hz would be acceptable
How low do you want it to play and how important are the low notes (Song examples are encouraged)? Low End Please. Im used to the 18 in my trunk, this will be my winter system till I get everything for my build ready.
Are you looking for a heavy low end, or one that blends with the rest of the output?
cmon surreal haha
How important is sound quality compared to loudness?
Mix of Both. If i was doing an SPL system I wouldnt be doing a bandpass
Are you able to cut odd angles? (45*, 7*..)
yes but Prefer not to with this. No 45s in the corners Just simple 90s will suffice.
Is this an SPL design? If so, what is your peak frequency? If you do not know this, please measure your average cabin length in inches!
Any specific enclosure preferences (Double baffled, flush mount, center slot, blowthrough, home environment etc)? Double baffled on the sub mount.
