Default Low Resting Voltage on used Kinetik

I have 2 used kinetiks that i was going to sell locally but when i checked the voltage it rested at about 5.65volts.

My old car that i had it in broke down on me and it was too much to get it fixed so instead i just opted for a new car...it's been sitting in the parking lot and i stripped it yesterday to take everything out. the battery was dead but ive heard that's common with a car that's been sitting for a while...could that have caused damage to the batteries? If someone charges them up will it be fine? i ran them both for a while and it rested at 12.4 before and when the car was running it went up to 14.1. I just hope it's not something serious because i'd really like to get money for them.

yeah that's what i was thinking. I feel like if i had disconnected it as soon as i parked my car when it broke down i would be fine, but it was probably bleeding into the battery under the hood before it died.

Have them tested, but not with a cheap load tester.

This happens alot.... if u have a normal charger youll need to charge with a 2nd battery (thats reading over 12v) because a normal charger wont recognize a battery is on it due to the low voltage

read this whole artical its awesome and tells u alot especially how to revive agms and y they do this!

Lol yea its ok I never got to charge it myself but I sold my 1400 to a guy locally that said he got it back running fine. I don't have a charger myself but if I sell the 2000 ill just do it the same way and if they have any issues then give them their money back and toss it. Ill definitely give that article a look though once I get to a computer.
