Default is termlab a has been?

ik, the comparison of the tl and the spl labs has been done to death. from what i've seen the tl is still the dominant meter for competitions. what i want to know is if you think that will change? do you guys think the spl lab is that convincing that it will become the new "official meter" pretty much just want to know if i wasted money on the tl i just bought :/

Never.... I think that the spl labs meter is great for the price but the term lab has been proven time and time again to be the meter of choice for dbDrag, USACi, Meca, etc etc....I can't see any organization actually switching ,anytime soon at least

DB Drag for sure won't switch. The guy that owns DB Drag is the guy that invented the TL. As for the other orgs, that's a good question, but I doubt it...

I don't see hundreds of shops/sponsors/judges all switching over to a new device. Maybe if a new league comes up, they may use something different but after years of using the TL, I doubt they'll just decide to make everyone buy new equipment.

Termlab will not be replaced unleashed its by a newer version. And at that rate it'll just be a software update like theyve done in the past.

Term-Lab is past Research and Development and now only updates to stay in the game.

I think when the SPL Labs R&D is done their product will be superior and Wayne Harris will have to produce a new product.
Maybe not new sensors but I expect they will have a similar device with readout and controls.

Wayne Harris will not let that happen.I think he has a part in Bass Race too.If it is the recognized "official" meter I would think it will stick around.

If there are any changes in the metering,it will be an update from term pro.

Yes, the DBDRa owns both DB Drag and Bass Race. And they have recently paired IDBL to add all of their info to Termpro as well. Wayne's "smart" in that he can still make money from a failing organization, but if he were smart, he'd invest in his org, get it back where it used to be, and make even more money...

termlab isn't going anywhere anytime soon.

sure there's a cheaper option now, but most competitors are still going to buy a termlab anyway.

SPL lab isn't the first to compete with TL. But it is one of the better to come along IMO. If anything this will encourage Wayne to step up and me changes to the system. TBH the program is pretty good and has had years of R&D. But the lack of competition has let the price and features lag a bit.
I don't see any major changes that would need to be made other then a wireless mic.

I think it's probably because that sub is not moving enough to allow it to cool.. Id turn the gain up a bit so it moves more for cooling reasons.. That's why it's hard on subs to be underpowered..
