Default 12v power supply and a battery ?

so will it hurt the power supply if i put a small sealed batt. paralled to the amp?

i know its not 12v charger, an thats what im wondering about,
will it charge the battery when the voltage drops?
or will it let the battery discharge, an fry my power supply from trying to charge it?

im only talking like 15 amps at the most, an a 120 watt amp

power supply DuraComm Corporation

battery model PS-12100 F1 PS and PSG General Purpose Battery Specifications Data

well im gonna work on this project thru out the next week,
ill keep an eye on the battery/power supply temp,

im hoping the power supply can handle the battery and the amp, its not a crazy loud setup, just a gaming and music bass booster

The supply and battery will balance out once the battery reaches the supply voltage. Your battery will only exceed the supply if you charge it elsewhere.
The supply will act as a trickle charger for the battery.

sent from your blown amp....

I would just use the battery and power supply and call it a day. Your power supply is going to act like an alternator for your in home system (converting ac to dc). Just try to keep the battery topped off with an actual charger if your power supply isn't charging at a high enough voltage. Good luck!

Why do people insist on rigging car audio amps to work inside? You spend more making it work than a nice home audio amp costs. I just recently purchased a Behringer EP1500 (1300w RMS @ 4 Ohms) for $140 shipped.

good point!!
i, myself am just using equipment i have sitting in the closet, collecting dust,
people on the forums or craigslist will not pay my asking price,
so stuff just sits here, but
i would do some trading on that behringer you just offered up
