Default Opinions needed for which DIY design to go with

I'm not too sure if Ill get much of a response here but I'll give it a shot anyways. We just went in to contract on a new house and with it I'm going to build a new ht. I currently live in a condo so I just have some smaller Dayton speakers and an ascendant audio assassin 8 on 150 watts. The tv is a Panasonic 55" gt30. I have an onkyo avr that's about 5 years old. I just recently bought a Panasonic 65" vt50 and that will be the display for the new ht. I'm going to move the gt to the front room and bring my DIY dayton bookshelfs out of storage for that setup.

Now on to the main setup.... I'm currently torn between building the tritrix or the stentorians. I'm leaning towards the stentorians just for sheer output and I'm thinking the sq should be close to that of the tritrix. Opinions here or maybe a different design? I'll build a matching center and surrounds, but perhaps less drivers on the surround. For the substage I have an ascendant audio avalanche 18 that is ready to go.

Next up is amplification. I'm looking at just doing an avr to start out but I do want one with preouts for the future ability to run a separate amp. I need 4 ohm stability and as much power as possible. I've been checking out units with audessy built in, as I'm sure that would make life easier. I know that pioneer has there own room correction tool now so that keeps pio in the mix. I'm not going to spend a grand on the avr, but don't mind spending a few hundred. I'm willing to buy used as well. I think marantz will be out of my range, but maybe used. I'll probably end up with a pio, onkyo, or Denon. I need 3d hdmi switching as well. So with all of that info any opinions on what to go with here?

Last but not least, what pa style amplifiers have you all used in place of a plate amp for the substage? How did it work out for you?

personally have heard some of the tritrix and loved them but never heard the stentorians so I have nothing negative to say for them, as for external amps I have aways had great luck with crown and qsc

I have tritrix, it's in a small sealed box and sounds fantastic.

I also use PA amps for the subs. I have 2 Crown Drivecore amps. I highly recommend the drivecore series. You can't hear the fan, they have clip indicators and are lightweight.

With most pro amps in the home environment you need to use a signal booster. Google the Art cleanbox pro. That's what I use. Works great, converts my receivers RCA signal to XLR.

The crowns were what I was leaning towards if I went that route.
