you have a problem with your service. that is not normal. Don't complain about it, call and get someone out to fix it.
i work for time warner cable, used to work for comcast, and i definitely can't blame anyone for switching to direct tv. The picture quality is a bit better and sunday ticket for free is tough to beat, if you like football.
Although for internet i wouldn't look anywhere other than fiber to the home or cable.
