Awesome bedroom setup! I have all tri-trix home theater, MTMTL (transmission line) in my living room as my mains and ported MTM center channel. I had the rear MT set but gave them to my mom. Only running 3.1 with a 15" eminence sub on 300W plate amp.
So I guess you could say I have listened to all the different tri-trix configurations. The MT was the most natural sounding in the bandwidth it played. I often used them for listening to well recorded cd's cause the vocals were just breath taking IMO. The TL has a huge sound stage, they dig down into the 30's with authority I just couldn't imagine possible before. By far my favorite configuration of the 3 is the TL. The MTM ported box just never sounded quite right after listening to the other configurations. It sounded muddy in some male vocals that I didn't like at all. May have needed more stuffing or less, but I just do not think it would have made that much difference.
I have rocked parties all night with the MT pair and my sub. Having them in your bedroom leaves plenty of "headroom" for nights you really turn up.
For the price it's amazing what you get, I was so impressed I bought the 4" reference mids for a horns in my bedroom. Using a dayton t-amp to power them and they sound awesome! Even more impressed, I now have 14 mids & tweets going into my blazer wall build all dayton.
