Default Here is my room, and speakers I have...suggest speaker layout?

As you can see, have a nice 50" in the middle, 2 huge bookshelfs on either side.

I converted the left one into a closet for nicer clothes but I'm planning to change it back.

I have:

3x DD raw mids
2x AQ ebay 6.5"s (mids only, one tweeter doesn't work)
5x 3.5" vifa's - these
4x vifa 1" silk dome tweeters 50w rms
sony xm-4045, 4040, 6020, 2540
optimus 3 way crossover
500w ultra v-series PSU
650w NZXT PSU (in computer, currently used just for the 2540, crossover, 2 tweeters and 2 of the 3.5"s with the tweeter removed)

Sub stage will probably be the VVME RD-12 but bass is not a priority at all.

I need something that will work while I'm sitting down AND about 15 feet away in my bed - this pic was taken from just about the middle of my headboard where my head will pretty much be at when laying down.

Any suggestions welcomed.

Currently only have 1 3.5" and 1 tweeter per side, sound good, but looking to put more all around just because.

I planned on making a box/panel for 2 3.5"S and one tweeter to go along side of the TV (top to bottom) with a tweeter in the middle but now I want to utilize the bookshelf's.

I have an un-used sheet of 3/4" MDF, but our jigsaw got stolen so I'm limited to using a skillsaw - corded.

I plant to put the sub on the bottom of one of the bookshelfes, but I might just get 2 matching 10"s to put one in each of the bottom's for equality.

Nice, clean room Graham at least we know your not a slob now Well from what I see your using your bed as a couch let's say you are, you could either place the speakers on the shelf or make some speaker stands that get the speakers at ear level. The speakers should be the same distant apart as they are from where you would be seated or lying () angled towards center of seating area. the sub won't matter so much since sub sonic freqs are non directional. If the sub is rear ported you can gain a little by facing port into a corner.
Score yourself some champagne and a Barry White CD and let the good times roll

It's actually pretty messy but it's mostly just stuff I haven't got around to organizing yet. I was thinking some swivel setup with hinges maybe, just so I can turn them towards my ears while at the desk, then back towards the bed when I'm in it. I thought about speaker stands too. I know I can make some nice ones that rival multi hundred dollar over-priced pre-built consumer grade crap they sell at best buy.

I have it setup so that the TV is basically in the middle of the bed, and the bookshelfs are equal distance apart, so all I have to do is make them equal from the outside edge (near TV)

I do notice with the sealed box I made for the 3.5"s, that as long as I can see the tweeter, the angle I can point them at isn't much of a factor. The open air "panel" lacks a lot of high-mid bass though. Still working on a proper box for the other side though. Jigsaw got stolen so I can't really do anything right now...

Graham don't need no barry white CD to get the good times rolling...just some "ciara - ride" on repeat in the car, (sub in, of course) seats folded down and a few patio table chair cushions thrown in the back with a blanket over them is all this casanova needs

I'm always changing my stuff around so I don't like to commit too often.

Yeah it is and it's comfy as ****. I made the adapter plate from a spool of coax cable a few years back. Also protects my ass in the event that the spring rod or whatever shoots up...apparently this is actually an issue.

Tell someone they need to worry about their chair exploding and they would think you're crazy...
