Emerson may be tempting for the price that they have it for at walmart but dont get it. You get much better quality from vizio. That's what i'd buy. Get one of those 3d tv's they have out now if money's not an issue.

LED is probably the way to go. LEDs last longer than just about anything i know of. More vivid colors better picture quality. LED's is the way i'd go next time i buy a tv.

LCD is fine, LED is just backlighting in most cases I think. I would go with a 42-55" Vizio, they are great tv's with lots of options and easy to adjust everything on it.

if it was anyone besides nizzy i would agree. but he gave you the benefit of the doubt and only gave you a 5 pter when it should be considered a perma ban. nizzy isnt a nazi mod, hes one of the laid back ones. although i do not support all of the staffs decisions this is one staff that i do support 100%. just let it go and move on. it will expire

The 42" is what we have in the living room and it's a great tv.

Def go with LED, best picture, bright colors. Newest technology in television.

Can't go wrong with samsung.

Those Koreans know how to make damn good TVs.

yep, led's are just led backlights to localize dimming and slim the tv down. they still use lcd panels... now samsungs led's are their top of the line, so they have better pq and such, but thats not really due to the led's.

vizio is its own brand, i've had a vizio for the last year and love it. imo their the king of the budget tv's.

personally i'd uy a vizio before a sony... imo sony's tv's have gone down hilll since the lcd projections.
